A Farewell to Friends
And like that, they are gone. We are empty nesters again. The boat feels so quiet and lonely now. Sheesh! It takes us about 3 days after our guests depart to settle into our normal two-person routine. What a grand adventure we had. Thank you guys! Karen & I rowed Roe over to the launch ramp in the harbor. Remember, I still have a dead engine & water in my fuel. Darrin from Broken Rudder, the local Tohatsu dealer was gracious enough to take my dink from the ramp to his shop. He called with not good news. The engine is completely inundated with water, the injectors are corroded, the fuel system needs to be completely replaced, and I have water in the oil. I'm hoping he can rebuild it.
