Pre-Blog Catch-Up from Thu June 20, 2024
The battery banks are charging and poking good! It’s all part of the adventure. As someone else said “Cruising is all about repairing your boat in exotic places”.
We are off to Port Harvey tomorrow early morning to catch the favorable currents up Johnstone Strait. Then Port Hardy on Saturday and across Cape Caution on Sunday (or at least that’s the plan)….weather, currents, and boat permitting of course.
Campbell River, where we are currently layer over, is a lovely marine-centric community. By it germane a bit in the cruising guides, but I think that is entirely misplaced.
All needed services are within easy walking distance, there are lots of good restaurants, pretty much any store/shopping you could need, and a lovely setting too boot.
I give this place 3 thumbs up.
