Pre-Blog Catch-Up from Tue June 25, 2024
The picture is from last night in Port McNeill.
Here's one from this morning northbound in Queen Charlotte Strait. We are on our way up to Cape Caution today. 84 miles to today's destination, either Green Island Anchorage or Big Frypan bay.
I hope conditions stay like this the whole way!
Just rounded Cape Caution. Still nice flat seas and no wind! I remember as a sailor, I hated no wind. Now as a motor guy, I love no wind! Here is another picture.
We stopped for the night at Green Island Anchorage. Stunningly beautiful and peaceful. A few other boats and river otters to contend with!
Time for dinner. Found some chicken, peppers, arborio rice, onions, & garlic. Hmmm, sounds like a risotto diner to me! Paired with a nice Ravera 2015 Barolo. 2015 was a truly spectacular year in Piedmonte. A very satisfying diner indeed!
