Pre-Blog Catch-Up from Wed June 19, 2024


Well, here we are, day 3 marooned on the dessert island (Campbell River).   Just taking some meetings, working and doing boat chores while we wait for new battery chargers and our friend, Woody, to come and install it.   I get to be gofor/helper for which I am rather qualified.

Btw, the mint dark chocolate fudge sickle I had yesterday was spectacular!   It was from Rocky Mountain Chocolates across from the marina.

If you're going to be stuck somewhere, you might as well avail yourself of the local treats!    Tonight, we treated ourselves to one of our favorite establishments in Campbell River, The Harbour Grill.   A yummy good restaurant.  I had the filet mignon with Bearnaise sauce over grilled veggies and potatoes Au Gratin.   Karen had the fresh line-caught Salmon Amandine.  We paired it all with a nice Altesino Brunello di Montalcino from 2018.

 I'm so glad the prices are Canadian Dollars!
