Still in Foggy Bay, Alaska

We decided to have a lazy day today.   We slept in until about 0700.   At that time all (yup, all) the other boats were pulling up and heading out.   So, we decided to stay put for another day; why not have this anchorage all to ourselves?

The pic is of the last two boats getting ready to depart.   it's 1700 and we are still alone in here.   Lovely!

This morning, I worked on a couple of contracts, and had a nice call with a potential referral partner.

This afternoon, Karen & I decided it was high time to take the tender out for its inaugural run.   That's correct, it had never been in the water.   I actually read the manuals, which for both Highfield and Tohatsu should be embarrassed as their manuals were nearly useless.

The first thing we did was to apply the name to the tender.   Given that our boat is Blue Redd, our tender's name is Roe.

After a bit of jockeying around with the davit, we got the tender in the water and were off - at idle speed for 15 minutes, then 1,000 rpm for 15 minutes, then 2,000 rpm, 3,000, 4,000, etc.   We've got more high-speed breaking in to do, but I don't want to go faster than 4,000 rpm!   Here are a few pics from when we were out puttering around in Roe.

And note, that we had blue skies for a brief part of the day!
