Alaska Routes and Stops
The map, above, is of our routes and stops for the Alaska portion of our adventure. Prince Rupert, BC is the jumping off point to depart Canada and arrive in Alaska at Foggy Bay (about halfway between Prince Rupert and Ketchikan).
That map represents 1,665 miles, 981 gallons of diesel used, over 53 days (42 days of rain, 11 days of sun), with 29 nights at the dock and 24 nights at anchor. As well as: 1 poked propane whip (thank you, Bill), 3 fuses, 1 bilge pump, 1 float switch, 2 refrigerator fixes, 1 generator relay, 1 engine oil/filter change, and 1 haul to inspect the prop and replace zincs.
Our northernmost point we reached, just north of Skagway was 59 56.84N, almost at 60 degrees north. Our westernmost point was 137 48.49W at the face of the Johns Hopkins Glacier in Glacier Bay.
When we are done, we will do something similar for our Canadian Aventure which we are currently enjoying. More in that upcoming blog later.
