Preparing to Get Underway, Southbound

Today, we bade a temporary farewell to Ross.   This afternoon, we all rode the ferry across the channel to the airport and said our goodbyes and hugs.

Our primary adventure with Ross aboard was touring Misty Fjords National Monument Wilderness.  What a truly spectacular marine park.   Here is the route we took over 6 days.   We will be back next year as we only saw a relatively small portion of this fjord land.   Just review the prior blogs to see some of the splendor and magnificent scenery.

Now that we are Rossless, we partied and got wild and crazy (well, not really)...

While he was dining at PF Chang's in during his layover in SeaTac, we had Beef & Broccoli stir fry.   I'm guessing Ross's was he better diner, but not by much.

Early to bed for us as we hit the road at 0530 in the morning to catch the favorable tides/currents.   We are heading south and should be in Prince Rupert, BC tomorrow evening.   It is about 85 miles which will take us 12-13 hours - if everything goes well.

Aboard Blue Redd, the fuel tanks are full, the water tanks are full, the engine's and generator have been serviced, the boat's been cleaned, the laundry is done, and the garbage has been taken out.    We are ready to go.
