Looking west in Revillagigedo Channel. Good luck pronouncing that, even though it's largely phonetic. It took me a while. This is the name of the island on which Ketchikan sits and the name of the channel we were in.
Today, we departed Ketchikan. Originally, we were going to leave at 0600, but last night the weather reports looked reasonably lousy, so we decided not to go. Yea, that means we sleep in!
I got up in the morning at 0500 anyway! Argh!, stupid brain... As I do every morning, I checked the weather reports and the icky (technical term) weather that was forecast for today significantly diminished. Hmmm, I rolled over and went back to sleep thinking. We arose about 0800 and the weather still looked reasonably favorable, so we elected to depart Ketchikan. We were too late to make it to Prince Rupert, B.C. in a day.

Here is J.K. Rowling's yacht, Samsara docked just south of town. We were just hobnobbing with the famous, almost.
There are two main places we could stop, Foggy Bay, AK just north of the US/Canada border or Brundige Inlet, B.C. just south of the border. I was hoping for Brundige Inlet, but my Selene friends talked me out of it as I'm not allowed to even anchor in Canada before clearing customs in Canada. I'll confirm that when we check-in tomorrow in Prince Rupert.

Ross made a lovely Ramen dish for dinner. It was really excellent. I think we should have him cook more often.
