First Berg!
Today's highly coveted cover photo courtesy of Susan. This photo is of the seaweed that accumulated behind our boat in Petersburg. The incoming tide/current brought us this thick carpet of seaweed. I just want to keep it out of my sea strainers!John, our exceptionally experienced and competent crew, hard at work dealing with the bow line as we departed Petersburg.
He only knows rag boats, so we are teaching him about the virtues of stink-potters.
Susan's first "berg"!
Yeah, Karen figured out how to take a selfie, after intense instruction from John...
Susan's first "berg"!
This was in Frederick Sound, just north of Petersburg. These icebergs likely calved off of the Le Conte Glacier which is just south of us.Susan thought this looked more like a Viking Longship from a slightly different angle. Agreed.
Tonight's repast was Olive Chicken with an Arugula/sun-dried tomato salad, paired with the long Cellars Denner & 2021 Reserve Cab Sauv followed by Woodford Reserve.
